Ben Steyn: A Journey of Technical Expertise and Entrepreneurial Spirit
Born in the quaint town of Kestell in 1977, Ben Steyn’s professional journey is a testament to his unwavering dedication, technical prowess, and entrepreneurial drive. Growing up with two younger sisters, Ben’s early years were shaped by his love for adventure, reading, and hands-on activities.
After completing his matriculation in 1995, Ben wasted no time in entering the workforce, eager to explore his passion for technology. His career began in April 1996 when he joined Powernet Computer Services as a technician. Here, Ben quickly established himself as a valuable asset, demonstrating a keen understanding of hardware repair, network setup, and end-user support.
Despite the closure of Powernet, Ben’s expertise did not go unnoticed, and he soon secured a position at Persetel Networks in Welkom in February 1997.
During his time at Persetel Networks (later called Business Connexion), Ben’s responsibilities expanded as he tackled projects ranging from desktop support to server maintenance, gaining invaluable experience in troubleshooting and problem-solving.
He would spend the next 16 years honing his skills and climbing the ranks. Starting as a junior technician, Ben quickly rose through the ranks, taking on roles of increasing responsibility and leadership.

As a senior customer engineer at Business Connection, Ben’s role was multifaceted, encompassing on-site repairs, stock management, and team leadership. His technical acumen and proactive approach were instrumental in resolving complex issues and ensuring seamless operations for clients.
Throughout his tenure at Business Connection, Ben spearheaded various projects, including the conversion of a desktop team to a full-level support desk and the deployment of computer systems for training venues. His ability to manage large-scale projects with efficiency and precision earned him recognition as a dependable leader and problem solver.
Ben’s firstborn, his darling daughter Zoe was born 2009 and pushed him to start looking at new opportunities.
Ben’s entrepreneurial spirit led him to establish BenSteyn.com, his first venture – focused on web design, SEO optimization, and content creation, catering to clients seeking to establish a robust online presence.
His son Edrin was born three years later in 2012 and proved to be a real handful. With buckets of energy the little guy kept both Ben and Elize on their toes
In 2013, Ben’s career took a new turn when he joined NEX as a service delivery manager and project manager for Woolworths. Here, Ben oversaw data cabling projects across multiple locations, coordinating with stakeholders and subcontractors to ensure timely delivery and quality outcomes.
Transitioning to Diverso in Strand in 2015, Ben assumed the role of service delivery manager, where he continued to excel in delivering exceptional service and driving operational efficiency. His tenure at Diverso was marked by his strategic leadership, project management expertise, and unwavering commitment to client satisfaction.
During 2019 he started his second venture, Precision Marketing. This marked his foray into the world of comprehensive marketing services, including website design, social media advertising, and SEO optimization. Under his leadership, Precision Marketing flourished, delivering exceptional results for clients and solidifying Ben’s reputation as a marketing expert.
In June 2021, Ben embarked on a new chapter in his career as the Head of Digital Marketing at Radical Cloud Solutions. In this role, Ben leads a team of digital marketing professionals, overseeing the development and implementation of cutting-edge marketing strategies for clients across various industries.
